IntegrationUpdated 2026-10-22

The Piper plugin provides local text-to-speech using its configured runtime and voices. Installation and runtime setup belong to its Editor settings.

Prepare and test

Complete the supported installation or choose an existing compatible runtime, configure its mode, start the server when required, and refresh the voice list. Test a short fixed sentence before using viewer messages.

Select a declared voice in Piper Speak. Use controlled text first, then test cancellation and the stop/mute workflow before live donations.

Core Settings can reconnect or start an already configured server using saved settings. Quick connect does not run the installation command or download voices.

See Stop or mute Piper and AI moderation.

Voice configuration

Test Voice synthesizes and plays the fixed sentence Piper voice test. with the selected voice. This image shows configuration, not a completed synthesis result.
