Pass data between steps

Use a run-local action result in a later step.

Before you start

Use a test project connected to Core. Review Apply and Save before testing a changed definition.

Steps

1. Add an action that exposes an output target and choose a named path under runtime.*.
2. Add a later Log or transformation action and select the first action's output through Insert Field.
3. Save the sequence and Test with representative input.
4. Inspect the producer and consumer occurrences in Runs, including their before/after runtime values.

Verify

The later step receives the result produced in the same run. Inspect the corresponding run, then Save the applied project when the result is correct.

If it does not work

Use the producing action's declared output schema. Do not replace a run-local path with a shared project variable when parallel runs must keep separate results.
