Define signals

A signal provider declares event types, filters and payload fields. Stable IDs let projects retain a signal selection across plugin releases.

Use ISignalProvider and the supported emission contract. Supply consistent source identity and structured event data; avoid exposing raw credentials in the event.

Start subscriptions under the plugin lifecycle, honor cancellation and stop emission when the lease or plugin ends. Use Core's existing matching, run intake and concurrency rather than running automation sequences yourself.

Document the normalized contract separately from provider-specific payload. Test duplicate delivery, reconnect and unavailable dependencies with controlled transports.
