Tests and reusable test chains

Run a deliberate chain of automation tests and pauses.

The Tests side panel stores reusable test chains in the project. A chain contains selected automations, explicit Test Data and optional pauses.

Build a chain

  1. Open Tests from the side-panel selector or its configured shortcut.
  2. Add the automations to test and choose each row's test data.
  3. Insert pauses where timing matters and reorder rows into the intended sequence.
  4. Review the chain and run it. Supported pending chain/preset edits are applied with the run workflow.
  5. Inspect the normal Runtime/Runs tools for the resulting executions; stop the chain when needed.

This chain tests Hello world with English sample, waits one second, then tests Welcome sequence with New viewer.

A chain can continue after an automation error. It is a test sequence, not an assertion suite or a separate results dashboard. Review each relevant result.

The ordinary automation Test button has a different rule: it does not apply an Editor draft. See Test a signal.
