Variables

Project variables expose named values under vars.*. Automations can read and update their current values while Core runs.

Definitions and values

Create a definition with the intended name, type and default. Apply definition changes through the Editor. Changing a current runtime value is a separate operation; it does not mean the saved default was edited.

Use a project variable for state shared between runs. Use runtime.* for a value belonging to only one run, especially when several automations can overlap.

Inspect use

Search and group variables in their workspace, then inspect uses before renaming or removing one. Runs shows captured values for a historical step, which can differ from today's value.
