Run a controlled event against the applied automation.

Before you start

Use a test project connected to Core. Review Apply and Save before testing a changed definition.

Steps

  1. Select the intended automation and resolve its validation issues.
  2. Save pending sequence or signal changes with File → Save (Ctrl+S). Test does not apply the Editor draft.
  3. Open Test Data, select a preset or enter representative event data, then run Test.
  4. Inspect the new run, its event and the relevant step values in Runs.
  5. Repeat with missing, empty and boundary values before enabling live events.

English sample uses synthetic viewer data. Review the signal's declared fields as well as the common user and text values.

Verify

The selected applied sequence receives the controlled event. A disabled automation can be tested without enabling live handling. Inspect the corresponding run, then Save the applied project when the result is correct.

If it does not work

A synthetic test does not prove delivery of a real service event. If a result uses an old value, check pending edits and the selected run.
