The Twitch plugin supplies chat, EventSub signals and supported channel actions. Requested permissions depend on the capabilities you enable and the account role you use.

Configure and authorize

  1. Select the intended service profile and open Twitch settings in the Editor.
  2. Review Configure Signals, Actions and Scopes. Enable the capabilities you intend to use and apply the selection.
  3. Choose the chat account role: Broadcaster or a separate Bot.
  4. Connect the Broadcaster account and finish its browser authorization.
  5. If using Bot for chat, use Connect Bot and complete the separate login. Follow its supplied manual browser link when requested.
  6. Review the operation result, required scopes and account-specific status.

Verify

Test Send Message in a private demonstration setup or use controlled Test Data for the intended signal. A test event does not verify a real EventSub subscription.

A connected account can still lack a required permission. Reauthorize the correct account after changing capabilities; do not repeatedly reconnect an unrelated Bot account to fix a Broadcaster scope.

Core retains credentials and connections when the Editor closes. Core Settings can retry saved Broadcaster/Bot connections without opening OAuth. See Timer messages and Prediction control.

Configuration example

Configure the intended account roles before authorization. These fields are empty in the demonstration; no live Twitch session is shown.

Review the capabilities your workflow needs before reconnecting accounts with changed scope requirements.
