Read and append files beneath an allowed root.

Before you start

Use a test project connected to Core. Configure the relevant integrations in the intended local service profile. Review Apply and Save before testing a changed definition.

Steps

  1. Configure a small writable context root in a test project and inspect it in Data Explorer.
  2. For a rolling chat log, use a Twitch chat-message signal with Context: Append JSONL and a relative path such as Chat/RecentChat.jsonl.
  3. Construct each record from the declared event fields selected through Insert Field; add a trim action if you need bounded history.
  4. For session notes, use Context: Append Line with a relative Markdown/text file.
  5. Save the automation, Test and inspect the resulting files through Data Explorer.

Verify

Files are created beneath the intended root with representative event data. Inspect the corresponding run, then Save the applied project when the result is correct.

If it does not work

Do not assume a project export carries external context files. Review root permissions, relative paths, current file versions and hosted-AI disclosure.

Inspect a controlled file

The file is addressed as context/greetings.jsonl. Its single demonstration record contains no live viewer message.
