Settings belong to the component that uses them. Choosing a theme does not change your project or another client's interface.

Prepare the Editor

Choose the interface language, theme, panel layout and Editor hotkeys in the Editor's preferences. These choices are local and remain available without a Core connection.

Prepare Core

Check the default new-project directory, autosave interval and last-project restoration. Changing the default directory moves no existing files. In a supported registered installation, Core can start with Windows without opening an Editor.

Configure a service

  1. Select the intended local service profile in the Editor.
  2. Open the integration's local settings and enter its connection parameters.
  3. Complete sign-in or the integration's connection command.
  4. Inspect the connection result and status tooltip.
  5. Configure project-specific entities or zones separately when the integration needs them.

Core Settings → Services can reconnect already configured connections using saved settings. Initial sign-in, OAuth and parameter editing remain in the Editor; quick connect does not install dependencies.

Open Services → Service profiles before choosing which local connections to configure.

Check the scope

Service profiles can contain credentials. They are local Core data, separate from project settings. Do not put credentials into an automation field or a transferable project to share a connection.

See Core Settings and the relevant integration page.
