Open App Settings

Select File → Settings, or press Ctrl + ,.

General

Keep autosave and the other project defaults enabled. English is recommended: localization is not a current development priority, so translated interface text may be incomplete or outdated.

Live State Source controls which integration provides the application-wide live state. See Live State Source before changing it.

For a first setup, keep the General settings at their default values and use English.

Themes

Open View → Themes to select an included theme. You can also duplicate a theme and customize its colors for your workspace.

Choose an included theme or create a customized copy.

Automation

The Automation page controls which signal and step types appear in the authoring interface. Hide types you do not use to make the selection menus shorter. This changes their visibility in the interface; it does not remove existing automations.

Use the visibility catalog only if you want to hide signal or step types that you do not need.

Hotkeys

Keep the default hotkeys unless one conflicts with another application. Select a command to assign or clear its shortcut.

Change a shortcut only when the default conflicts with your setup.

Plugins and security

Keep the default plugin and security policy for the first setup. Plugins run code inside Streaming Hub, so install packages only from sources you trust.

The default plugin and security settings are recommended for a new installation.

Logging and diagnostics

Keep the default logging level while learning the application. If something does not work, use Open Folder to find the diagnostic logs requested for troubleshooting.

Logging and diagnostics help investigate problems; the example paths shown here contain no personal data.

Result

The application keeps its recommended defaults, uses English, and has a theme and interface catalog suited to your workspace.
