vMix

Capabilities

• Connect to the vMix HTTP API.
• Refresh input metadata and configured references.
• Run supported actions against inputs and managed assets.

Integration signals can start automations. Integration actions are added as steps.

Requirements

• A running vMix instance with its web or HTTP API available.
• A reachable host and port.

Connect

1. Start vMix and enable its Web Controller or HTTP API in vMix settings.
2. Note the host and Web Controller port. For a local installation, the host is normally the same computer.
3. Open Services → vMix in Streaming Hub.
4. Enter the host and port, connect, and save the settings.
5. Open the vMix workspace and select Refresh vMix to load the current inputs.
6. Create or update the required vMix entities after changing the production.

Verify the connection

The vMix service status is connected and refresh returns current input metadata without an HTTP error.

Limitations

Saved references can become invalid when vMix inputs are removed, renumbered or renamed. Refresh metadata after changing the vMix production.

Troubleshooting

Check the service status and filter the Log panel by the integration source. Reopen the integration settings to verify credentials, address and required external-service permissions.
