Integration signals can start automations. Integration actions are added as steps.
Requirements
- A Google account with access to the YouTube channel.
- An active or available live broadcast and live chat where required.
- Authorization for the requested YouTube operations.
Connect
Open Services → YouTube, or double-click YouTube in the status bar. Streaming Hub uses the system browser, PKCE and a temporary callback bound only to 127.0.0.1. Tokens and YouTube API requests travel directly between the desktop application and Google.
Connect your account
- Select Connect Account. Your external browser opens the Google sign-in page.
- Sign in with an account that owns or manages the required YouTube channel and review the requested permissions.
- Return to Streaming Hub after authorization and check the connection in Diagnostics.
Keep the default polling settings unless you need to change them. Poll Interval Seconds controls how often the integration checks YouTube, while Enable Chat Polling and Enable Stream Health Polling control which updates it requests. Select Save if you change these settings.
Verify the connection
The YouTube service status is connected and the integration can resolve the active broadcast or live-chat context without an authorization error. Use Logs to confirm polling and API responses.
Limitations
Signals that depend on live chat require a suitable broadcast. API quotas, channel permissions and chat availability are controlled by YouTube.
Until Google completes verification of the shared application, authorization can show an unverified-app warning. The bundled Google Cloud project also has a shared daily API quota.
Troubleshooting
Check the service status and filter the Log panel by the integration source. Reopen the integration settings to check connection details, enabled options and required external-service permissions.
