Use a variable in a condition

Guard an action with a project Boolean.

Before you start

Use a test project connected to Core. Review Apply and Save before testing a changed definition.

Steps

1. Create a Boolean project variable named reactionEnabled and Apply its definition.
2. Add a Log action to a test automation.
3. Set that step's Condition to {vars.reactionEnabled}==true using Insert Field.
4. Save the sequence, set the current variable value to true, then run Test.
5. Set the current value to false and run Test again; compare the two step results.

Verify

The Log action runs only when the condition is true. Inspect the corresponding run, then Save the applied project when the result is correct.

If it does not work

Inspect the captured variable value rather than today's value. Editing the current runtime value is different from changing the saved default.
