Setup can preview a Streaming Hub 0.1 installation and copy its selected data into a new installation. Migration keeps the original program and data.

Before you start

Close the monolithic application, Core and all Editors. Keep a backup. Use the same Windows account if you need existing encrypted service credentials: matching account names alone do not make Windows-protected credentials portable.

Preview and import

  1. Start a new Per-user or Portable installation in Setup.
  2. Choose Import data from Streaming Hub 0.1… and select the old program folder.
  3. Review the detected data location. Setup follows the old settings-location file; choose another location only if it contains your intended settings.
  4. Select Preview migration. Check the projects to copy, or use Add project files… for projects outside the remembered list.
  5. Leave Open the copied last project when Core starts off unless you want automatic restoration.
  6. Select Use this migration, review the component selection and install.
  7. Open a copied project. Check connections, paths, required plugins and a controlled test before enabling live use.

What is copied

Settings, service profiles, selected project files, known sidecars, backups and raw plugin folders are retained in the new data location. Projects and encrypted envelopes are copied without rewriting their contents. Runtime locks and approved API access are not transferred.

External media, scripts and context directories can remain external. Review those paths rather than assuming every file moved. Copied plugins still need compatible versions, valid signatures and the required trust decision.

Keep the originals

Setup does not replace the old executable or its shortcut. Core prevents a registered migrated old executable from running at the same time; unrelated old copies must also stay closed. Repair does not repeat migration.

If preview fails because settings are corrupt or files changed, review the source and start with a fresh destination. Do not combine partial migration folders. Opening a new project format in the new Core does not promise that 0.1 can read a later save.
