Macros

Reuse sequences with explicit input and output mappings.

A macro is a named reusable sequence. Call Macro supplies inputs and maps declared outputs back to the caller.

Define and call

Create the macro, declare its inputs and outputs, and build its sequence. In the caller, select Call Macro and configure the declared mappings. Use File → Save (Ctrl+S) to apply the macro and caller definitions before testing.

Use Go to Macro to navigate to the selected macro while keeping the caller's pending edits. A run uses the macro definition captured when its configuration was accepted, rather than an unrelated later edit.

Transfer dependencies

An exported automation or folder can refer to a macro that is not included in that file. Create or import the required macro and review each call's selection after transfer.

Use Runs to inspect individual call occurrences and their captured inputs.
